Volkswagen Infotainment

For the next generation of infotainment systems, Volkswagen AG asked Cogneus to design a font family called “VW Infotainment”. The key requirements were a distinctive design and a high degree of on-screen legibility at all resolutions.

Cogneus started out by analysing standard fonts to establish proportional relationships between the characters in order to achieve optimum readability in small pixel sizes. The character of the VW font family is distinguished by a high x-height and open, dynamic character shapes.
