Jacob Pins Society
Kunstverein Höxter e.V.
Art Direction und Design: Christoph Grüder
Year: 2005-2007
The painter and graphic artist Jacob Pins was born in 1917 in Höxter
and died in 2005 in Jerusalem. He fled to Palestine to escape the
Nazis; after the downfall of the Third Reich he re-established contact
with his native town and left an extensive collection of his works to
the town. The Jacob Pins Society was set up to present the artist’s
work to a broad audience.
The society asked Christoph Grüder to design its website and graphics.
The design was donated to the society. The “Forum Jacob Pins” museum is
due to open in Höxter in 2008. In addition to a monograph about Jacob
Pins, Cogneus was also responsible for the design of the exhibition
rooms.
